I took this picture on my first trip east of New York City. I thought the Yankees would be stuck up and rude but they were delightful people. I got there to late to make the standard tour but after talking to the guard he took me on a private tour that was wonderful. I learned that people are the same everywhere if you treat them nicely they return the favor.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold.
