As soon as I finished this painting, I knew the title. There are many young people watching and learning from adult Republicans for clues to acceptable behavior. Please watch what you teach young Republicans. We need two parties that can have open discussions and compromise for the good of all Americans. I finished this painting using Photoshop to add the lettering.
As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold. Bright colors make me happy, and I aspire to convey that feeling to my viewers and customers. I am a native of Sikeston, Missouri, and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with a BS in Historic Preservation.
