I found this rooster while reviewing "Storey's Illustrated Guide to Poultry Breeds," When I saw this rooster, was fascinated by his features, I had to paint him in a portrait poise. His feathers are primarily black and his top notch is outstanding.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating.
