As a student in Historic Preservation, architecture was a large portion of the curriculum. This old church called to me to paint it. The background is a wash of white, yellow, orange, and peach to show the happiness of the congregation as they worship inside. The stained-glass shines bright, reflecting the glory of God.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold. Bright colors make me happy, and I aspire to convey that feeling to my viewers and customers.
