I painted this artwork for my 5-year-old grandson for his new room. He and his family moved into a much larger home, and he needed artwork for his walls. What a pleasure to give him a piece of my artwork. My wish is that it bring him pleasure for many years.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold. Bright colors make me happy, and I aspire to convey that feeling to my viewers and customers.
