I was active in Beta Sigma Phi for many years and our flower is the yellow rose. I find it to be beautiful, soft and feminine. I remember the many activities enjoyed with my sisters in Beta Sigma Phi when I look at this rose painting.
About Margaret Harmon
As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold.
