Artist's Description

The Face of a Peacock sold in a Silent Auction at a Cancer Society Ball for $200. The painting draws you inside the soul of the peacock. One of my uncles owned and raised peacocks so I grew up to appreciate these beautiful birds. I painted this artwork from a photo of one of those peacocks that used to strut with pride when he fanned his feathers. The painting is waiting to be hung on one of your walls at home.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold. Bright colors make me happy, and I aspire to convey that feeling to my viewers and customers. I am a native of Sikeston, Missouri, and a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with a BS in Historic Preservation.
