One of my favorite flowers is the geranium. I set this still life up with a globe paperweight on the side and the vase on a tablecloth. There were lots of shadows in the background and rich texture on the walls. It makes a bold statement of pure beauty.

As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold. Bright colors make me happy, and I aspire to convey that feeling to my viewers and customers.
