Artist's Description
I am a gardener and these came from my garden. I placed them in a clear glass bud base but the composition seemed to call for just standing alone. I find this a very happy and regal picture of three of my favorite flowers. It was early morning when I cut them and there was still due on them so I incorporated that into the composition.
About Margaret Harmon
As a painter, my goal is to inspire, not just reproduce a subject on a canvas. I like my colors bold with subjects drawn in large, generous forms. I want my work to touch the inner impulse and passion of my viewers. To me, producing art is liberating. Whether I work directly from a perceived subject, plain air, or abstractly, I am most concerned about the work's overall composition and formal aspects. My colors tend to be bright and bold.
