Description
Sadly, this performing theater, turned movie theater, was destroyed in the late 1970s in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was beautiful inside with her high painted ceiling, box seats on each side of the stage and architectural details lost but not forgotten. To see her broken and spewed around the work site was very sad. All the elements of fine workmanship, high design and by gone elegance was exposed to anyone who wished to take one final look. We are losing part of our culture on a yearly basis and this is just one example.

Thanks Robert. It was very sad to watch it come down and to see the remarkable architectural elements inside.
