My favorite tree is the Live Oak. It is majestic and seems to have a feeling of southern serenity about it. This beautiful tree was in a field at the Norwood Plantation in St. Francisville.

We have a "Live Oak" in our back yard & several in the neighborhood. I trim ours as a Christmas Tree shape. The one at San Antonio's "Alamo" complex is the largest I have seen.
